"The "Sound" Of Frankie And The Pleasin' Seasons!" - by Jack Pripusich (Downers Grove, IL)
These are original hit versions all the way and the entire CD is impeccable with dynamic sound. I don' t recall ever hearing more perfect sounding renditions of these radio smashes from the early 60's through the chart-topping "Grease" in 1978. Thrill to the Seasons best:"Sherry", "Walk Like A Man", through "December, 1963". Of special mention is the original hit version of "Dawn ( Go Away)" featuring the intro "Pretty Eyes Amid Summer's Morn...They called her Dawn....." I have the original Philips hit single...THAT'S the one! Frankie Valli's incredible solo hit "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is included...plus his two other smashes. Then there is "Rag Doll". One of my favorite records of all time...and my most beloved recording by The Four Seasons. A masterpiece! I recall hearing an interview with Frankie Valli years ago and when asked if they knew "Rag Doll" was special after they ... full review

"Definitely Definitive!" - by mpage
Want a great collection of Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons that's not too little nor too much? Look no further here. Thirty songs total featuring all the classic 4 Seasons hits, five Frankie Valli solo, plus one under the pseudonym The Wonder Who with a rendition of Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice(It's All Right)".
I picked this collection specifically because it has all my favorite cuts by the 4 Seasons and by Valli solo. You can't go wrong with what's on here. Half the number of this collection are 15 Top Ten hits by The 4 Seasons[Five of them chart toppers]. Four out of the five Valli solo material are Top Ten hits[Two of them chart toppers]. The best of two Valli chart toppers is the title hit of the movie Grease supplied to him by head Bee Gee Barry Gibb, who also co-produced the track. This cut in particular ... full review

"True love takes a lot of tryin'." - by Johnny Heering (Bethel, CT United States)
This CD combines two 4 Seasons albums from 1965/66. Originally, "Working My Way" included three recordings that had already appeared on "Entertain You", but of course those songs are only featured once each here. But there are three bonus tracks included, so there are still the same number of songs. Both of these albums were strong efforts by the 4 Seasons. Of course, there are some classic hits here, but most of the album tracks are good, too. Fans of the group should enjoy this CD. Here is the track listing:

1. Show Girl

2. Where is Love?

3. One Clown Cried

4. My Prayer

5. Little Darlin'

6. Bye, Bye, Baby

7. Betrayed

8. Somewhere

9. Living Just For You

10. Little Angel

11. Big Man in Town

12. A Sunday Kind of Love

13. Toy Soldier

14. Girl Come Running

15. Let's Hand On

16. Working My Way Back to You

17. Pity

18. I Woke Up

19. Beggars Parade

20. Can't ... full review

"The Four Seasons for a new generation" - by M. Smith (Wichita)
I have been a Four Seasons fan from the moment I heard "Rag Doll" on the radio in 1964. With the amazing success of "Jersey Boys" on Broadway, the Season's unique music is being introduced to a new generation of fans. This collection is the most comprehensive ever released of their work.

The body of their musical work is contained on the 3 CD's. The fourth disc is a DVD with Four Seasons and Frankie Valli's televised performances, most of which I had never seen before. The set is rounded out with a book documenting the history of the Four Seasons along with information pertaining to every song on the set.

The music has been remastered and sounds better than I have heard it previously.

For anyone wanting to enjoy the work of the Four Seasons, I heartily recommend "Jersey Beat."

"THE MOTOWN YEARS on CD!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!" - by Mr. RICHARD ROCCHIO (La Quinta, California United States)
Finally!! What a collection!! Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons prove once more why they are TIMELESS! This 2 set cd is from their years (1972-1975) with Motown and is loaded with unexpected pleasures featuring beautiful ballards and some rocking arrangements.
As a HUGE Four Seasons fan I have all the original "Albums" from which these songs came from. But to hear them remastered and available on cd is just GREAT!
Check out "The Night", my favorite, or "Hickory" another great track!
And the ballards! "Love Isn't Here (Like it Used To Be), "Inside You",
"A New Beginning", "Life And Breath"! Is there ANYTHING Frankie Valli
can't sing? As a solo artist or with the Seasons backing him there is only one thing to say - WHAT A CAREER! And it hasn't ended yet as he is still performing around the country. In fact I will be attending his concert (March 21, 2009) in Indio, ... full review

"Sherry - a Classic." - by D. Harmon (Southern VA Tidewater Area)
This one is a classic, highlighted by soloist Frankie Valli, with his terrific voice range. If you are ancient, like me, and the 50's and 60's were your teen years, you will love this song.

"A number one hit in 1962!" - by JJCEO (Greenwood, Indiana)
Frankie Valli was one of the most popular singers of our generation. He and Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio wrote so many popular songs that you would be shocked if you knew them all. This was one of my sister’s most favorite songs. It was a number one top Billboard Hot 100 songs on November 17, 1962 and stayed number 1 for 5 weeks.

It is a great song sung mostly in falsetto. I like the song and it is a classic for the 1960’s. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were one of the best singing groups of all time. I like this song and I rated it 5 stars.

When you grow up listening to this type of music you soon become a fan of such great singers like Frankie Valli.

"One of many hits by the Four Seasons" - by ArtH
The Spinners did a nice cover version of this song but I still prefer the original by the Four Seasons. Takes me back to my days in the US Navy and Communications school at Pensacola Florida in the mid 1960's.
