I the 1st Mason Sharpe novel, I saw the ending less than 1/3rd of the way in, but the characters were so compelling it was still an enjoyable read. In this book Take Down, it just kept getting better and better and had me guessing to the end.

This is the 2nd Mason Sharp book in the series. The first one was better. This one dragged on until the last few chapters.
The Montgomery Reed books and the Prosecution Force were much better.

This is the second novel in the Mason Sharpe series. I really liked the first novel which I felt was a good replacement for the now not so good Jack Reacher series (Lee Child's brother is now writing those books and his voice is just not the same). This book delves into the inner city drug trade. I'm not a big fan of books about this subject but the story was interesting and had a satisfying ending. I really hope though that the author returns to the formula he used in the first book that more closely follows the Jack Reacher themes.
