The best so far out of the series

This was my most favorite of the three read so far. Finally some conclusions and answers to some of my questions.
A couple of things that did not set well with me though
The conversations with Howard about Nikki’s mom. He apparently knew about her mom’s past, but in all honesty, I thought he might have been the father (but they said it was rape). That part of the story just seemed to get gobbled up. Though it was left open with Oliver not saying who his real father was. It just seems open ended to me
Ollie’s relationship with Annmarie also didn’t match up all the way either as he ended up killing her in the end.
Nikki - while I understand her guilt, I’m getting a little tired of hearing “ why didn’t I listen when they tried to tell me”. Nikki’s character is believable, but the guilt thing with every story gets to be a bit much.
Even with those issues, I still very much enjoyed this book and the series. I’m interested in seeing where the next book goes with the “Frost killer” finally being caught.
There sure are a lot of murders and serial killers in Stillwater!
