I miss Clive Cussler

I miss the little touches that Clive Cussler’s writing added to his characters and story. The stories from the past that always start the book had more depth and tied to something interesting in the main story. In previous books when St. Juliens character is used his buoyant character and a description of wine and food used and his knowledge of nautical history adds to the story. In this book. Weak. I feel like there could’ve been more investigation and the bad characters weren’t that despicable. The humor and joking between Kurt and Joe was lame. Not even sure why the Cora character was even mentioned. I felt nothing. Yes this book had the essential formula; Rich madman or woman trying to destroy the world but the things that made the story interesting and enjoyable weren’t here.
