5.0 out of 5 starsMake time for this one! It is unputdownable!

It was exciting to receive the latest in the Rachel Hatch series yesterday. Ryan and Shea are doing a fantastic job together! I was so happy to find Rachel back home and reconnecting with Dalton but of course trouble was waiting for her too. Since a happy ending would probably mean the end of her story, it just wasn’t meant to be. If you have read the first three in the set, buckle up for another great ride. If this is your first introduction to Rachel Hatch, you will certainly want to get the first three after reading this one.

But the ending basically stunk
It changed the storyline moving forward and therefore I lost my interest I will not be finishing the series

Rachel Hatch has come home to her mother, niece and nephew. And hopefully to the sheriff, Dalton Savage. After finally putting the mystery of her father's death behind her, Rachel looks ahead to rebuilding her relationship with her mother and becoming a mother to her sister's orphans. Before she has a chance to delve into the status of her relationship with Savage, another sheriff, Billy Nighthawk, is brutally murdered by two poachers on the southern Ute Reservation. His death starts a snowball effect which leads to another defining moment in her and Savage's lives. Both moving and graphic, this book glimpses into the private hell that is Rachel's life and decision. Great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mesmerizing 4th in a Series of 8 Action-Packed, Fast-Paced Ratchel Hatch Novels. Enjoy!

This is the 4th in a series of 8 Rachel Hatch books written by best selling author L. T. Ryan and Brian Shea. I found this one really hard to put down and have already purchased the next in the series.

While the author’s repeat key information from the earlier books in the series for those who started with this one, I recommend that you read these books in order for maximum enjoyment and understanding the character development and storyline.

At 12 years of age, Hatch discovered her father was murdered and it changed her life. At the first opportunity she joined the Army leaving her mother and twin sister’s small town Colorado community.

A skilled combat soldier, she departed the Army after 15 years looking for clues on who murdered her father and why. In the former books in this series she gets answers to her questions and brings those responsible to justice.

In this book, Hatch attempts to put her life of violence behind her and reconnect with Sheriff Savage, he mother, and her deceased sisters two children.

While she made progress, she agrees to provide consultation to help the Sheriff solve the murder of the Utes Police Chief who happens to be the father of one of Savage’s newest and most competent deputies.

The unthinkable happens when the the mercenary company responsible for the death Hatch’s father send a team of two and another of four professional killers to eliminate Hatch for the action she took against those who murdered her father.

This was an intriguing book that was very entertaining. It was action-packed and fast-paced. This was my favorite so far in this series and I recommend it to family, friends, and others who might enjoy this spellbinding series.

Enjoy!

This new book is yet another outstanding effort from the dynamic writing duo of LT Ryan and Brian Shea! Smoke Signal is a masterful story of Rachel's conflicted personality and relationship with her friend Sheriff Savage. It is skillfully wrapped up in a cloak of deadly action as Rachel takes on the secretive group who are still hunting her, following her efforts to find her father's killer. A must read NOW calibre book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I was Rachel Hatch

So far I have read all four of the Rachael Hatch books and have not been disappointed I can hardly put them down. These books are not only suspenseful keeping me on the edge of my seat but the characters especially Rachel hatch with jher prolific military background and training are totally intriguing.
Having spent a couple years in the army military police at Fort Carson, Colorado I can identify and certainly wish I had Rachel’s skill and strength. I think it’s amazing the authors are male, -great job ! I can’t wait to see what happens next since. If I had to guess, I’d say it ‘s her ex-boyfriend Alvin the Navy Seal who she’s meeting where the sea meets the moon. I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
Thank you for these great books!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hatch Finally Returns Home
Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2021

Hatch has finally returned home to resume life with her mother, niece, and nephew. She has begun to re-evaluate her feelings for Sheriff Savage and wonders if there might be a chance for a normal life with him in her future.

When she goes to visit him, she discovers he is in the middle of investigating a murder that took place on the nearby Ute Reservation. Hatch is not ready to resume her work with the Sheriff's Department, but agrees to work as an occasional advisor. As the investigation moves forward, Hatch lends a hand here and there while she questions the possibility of their relationship.

This is a good book to move the story along, but doesn't quite hold up to the previous books.

This is yet another thrilling entry in the Hatch series. The plots and twists build to one heck of an exciting finale. The authors definitely know how to bring the action and write some intensive scenes; while giving us characters that are truly interesting and ones we look forward to seeing again.
I can easily recommend this series, as well as the other works in both authors’ catalogs.

An action-packed thriller from beginning to end as Rachel hunts her father’s killer. She finds him. He’s ended. Now Rachel becomes the hunted. The hunters follow her back home and the hunters become the hunted—but at a great cost. This is a compelling read, not only for the indomitable heroine that is Rachel, but also for the heinous committed force behind her father’s death more than two decades ago that simply won’t quit

I love Rachel Hatch adventures and this one was fantastic! She has finally made her way back to her family in their hometown. She's also hoping to see where things may lead with the local Sheriff, Dalton Savage, as she's never been able to get him off of her mind.
Sometimes, though you just can't get away from the past no matter how hard you try, it catches up with you. This is the case with Hatch. She can't hide and she won't shy away from a fight. She protects the ones she loves no matter the cost.
Excellent read! I highly recommend!
