All of the stone Barrington books have the same theme.Always someone from Delano. someone leaving him tons of money and always a new play mate for bed. always hoping from house to house. England, France and the coast. gets rather repiticious. this is the last book i will purchase from the series. Constant flying in his airplane. Boring!

I've read several of Stuart Woods books introduced to me by an old boyfriend who knew him. (boyfriend no longer on the planet. We often ate at the Manhattan restaurants referenced in the books). The sex here is routine, the alcohol consumption very 50's or 60's. However, never having to cook, wash up or deal with the Amazon shoppers at Whole Foods is enticing. Also never having to find a cab in the rain, or deal with customs at a NY airport is a heavenly fantasy. And his dialogue is great. Almost as good as Aaron Sorkin.

I have always enjoyed this writer and the the character of Stone Berrington. It seems there
is nothing they can't figure out and have lots of resources and 'know guys in high places as
well as incredible security set up.
I don't quite get that the first woman president is a girl friend of Stone Berrington. They keep; trying
to set up scenarios where they can meet on the sly. Hm . . m . . I just don't see the first every woman
President of the United States being so willing to risk her position as the 'leader of the free world'.
