I truly enjoyed Finding Amos!!!! This story had so many aspects of everyday life that are truly relevant today. I especially enjoyed the story being told from Amos' viewpoint as well as that of his three daughters. One of the aspects that stood out for me was elder care. Many children today are faced with these issues, where, who, how do we loving and respectfully take care of our aging parents, and throw in the mix that the parent needing help maybe wasn't a particularly great parent so then there are emotional obstacles.
Cass, Toya, Tomiko -sisters all in love with the same man, their daddy! It was not surprising that each daughter had serious baggage when it came to forming relationships with men. I also found it interesting of the relationships each young lady had with their mother and or girlfriends. I enjoyed the alternating stories and found myself really enjoying Amos' voice. He had the most interesting memories. Which explained so much with regards to the unique relationship with each daughter. I do believe I felt Toya's pain when Amos spoke the name of his daughter and it wasn't her, I was actually almost crying because that for me that was a defining moment for Toya and the beginning of the end for her formation of love and trust.
Surprisingly I also enjoyed the character Jennie V. and the relationship between Amos and Mark.
This book was awesome and I truly enjoyed it! The three authors did a wonderful job!!!!!!!!!
