Big buildup to a ridiculous ending!

Despite what I felt were a few flaws in the plotting, I enjoyed this book enough to stay with it, right up to the ridiculous , (and disappointing) ending. I'm going to echo what another reviewer said, did Haller have some sort of telepathic ability to know that his client , (who he had cleared of a murder charge), had a body buried in her backyard? And at the very end, attending her backyard exoneration party, he gets this sudden revelation, (from watching some kids with balloons ), that she committed the murder, using balloons to get her victim to look up, so she could hit him on the head with a hammer! This is complete idiocy! To me, this is a talented writer, ruining what could have been a great story! Did he think this was a clever "surprise ending"? And I still don't get how this woman is arrested and jailed on suspicion of murder, with nothing more than a motive and allegedly being seen in the vicinity.
