I absolutely loved this book. I thought it was going to be tricky to A. Write the five siblings realistically and each with their own distinct personality and B. to keep track of so many characters, because let's not forget Sean, who I love. But FRET NOT the author does a great job of making each and every one of the six main characters sound like a whole individual, and you never get lost (the fact that each chapter is titled with the protagonist it relates to the most helps).
Also, Amanda. Poor Amanda. I loved the chapters with her thinking back to that fateful night in 1998.
Perhaps I loved this book so much because the characters were my age, and I remember what long summer nights were as a teenager back in 1998. It was nostalgic picturing teenagers doing what teenagers do in the evening during the summer when no adults are around to supervise.
I highly recommend this book also because I really didn't see the end coming, or some of the surprises along the way, until they hit me in the face like Monday morning.
