AmazonBasics Connected Devices Warranty
What This Warranty Covers
This limited warranty is provided by Amazon.com Services,
Inc. to you as the original purchaser of the AmazonBasics-branded
surge protector product(s) you purchased (the “Surge Protector”). In
addition to the one-year warranty that applies to your Surge
Protector, this limited warranty
covers damage to equipment that
is properly connected through a Surge Protector to a
properly wired and grounded outlet (including
compliance with electrical and safety codes
of the most
current electrical code (ANS/NFPA 70)) without the use of any adapters,
extension cords or other connectors (an “Occurrence”). The Surge
Protector may be manufactured by a third party not affiliated with Amazon.
This limited warranty only applies if all wires leading
into the connected equipment pass through
the Surge Protector. The Surge Protector must be plugged directly into a properly
wired AC power line with a protective ground and must not be “daisy- chained”
together in serial fashion with other power strips, uninterruptable power
supplies (UPSes), other surge protectors, three-to-two-prong adapters, or
extension cords. The Surge Protector is
intended to be used indoors only and in dry areas.
During the warranty period, if a defect arises and you
follow the instructions that we will provide to you for returning the Surge
Protector and the connected equipment, we will, at our option, take one of the
following actions: (i) replace or repair the damaged connected equipment or (ii) reimburse you for the actual costs of replacing
or repairing the damaged
connected equipment. We will
spend an amount
equal to the fair market value or the original purchase price of the
damaged connected equipment, whichever is less, up
to a maximum of $20,000.
