Prime Video on Fire Tablet

You can stream movies or TV shows from Prime Video and (if you have an Amazon Prime membership) videos Included with Prime on your Fire tablet.

When you rent videos, you can watch them for a specified time period. When you purchase videos, you can watch them as often as you like.

Note: Not all videos available in the Prime Video store are Included with Prime. To learn more about Prime Video features, visit How to Watch a Prime Video Title.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Video from the Category bar, and then tap Store.
  2. To search for a video to rent or buy:
    • In the Search field, type your video title, and then tap the magnifying glass icon or swipe from the left edge of the screen to browse the store.

Note: Videos Included with Prime show a Prime badge on the title, and the detail page displays the Prime logo. Before you stream videos Included with Prime, sign up for a paid annual Amazon Prime membership.

    • Tap Rent or Buy on the video detail page. You can purchase videos in standard and high-definition. Your purchase is automatically charged to your 1-Click payment method.

Tip: With an active paid Amazon Prime membership, you can stream all videos Included with Prime, and download select videos Included with Prime for offline viewing. To learn more, go to What is Prime Video?
  3. To watch videos you've purchased or rented:
    • Make sure that your device is connected to a wireless network. Swipe from the left edge of the screen and tap Your Video Library.
    • Tap a movie or TV show you have purchased or rented, and then tap Watch Now or Resume (if you previously didn't finish the video) to begin streaming.
    • To download your video, tap Download.

If you experience an error while using Prime Video, go to the Prime Video Errors help section.

Tip: To customize Closed Captioning for your Prime Video account, go to Prime Video Settings.
