You can watch movies and TV shows from Prime Video and other video apps and services on your Amazon Fire TV.
To view and manage your video settings, go to
Select Your Videos from the Fire TV menu to browse customized video recommendations, or view titles saved to your Watchlist.
You can find your Prime Video purchases and active rentals under Your Video Library.
If you're an eligible Prime member, you'll also see Prime rows with titles that you can watch at no additional cost, as well as programming included with your active Amazon Channels subscriptions.
You can also select Movies or TV Shows from the Fire TV menu to find featured and recommended titles or to shop for movies and TV shows from Prime Video. For more information, go to Buy or Rent Movies & TV Shows.
Once you find a movie or TV show you want to watch, select an available viewing or purchase option in the video details--look for the Watch Now or Resume buttons.
If you have a Fire TV Remote with a Voice button, you can also use Alexa to start playing videos from Prime Video and selected third-party providers. Just say "Play" followed by the title you want to start watching.
You can watch movies and TV shows from other apps and services (including Netflix, Hulu, etc.) directly through that third-party app. To find and download video apps, open Apps from the Fire TV menu.
Your Videos includes rows with featured recommendations from some third-party providers. The video details for most movies and TV shows also include a More Ways to Watch selection you can use to discover other available viewing options for that particular title.
Some Amazon Channels subscriptions feature Live TV, which gives you the option to live stream programming on your Amazon Fire TV at the same time that it's broadcast on TV. You can browse what's currently airing on your subscribed Amazon Channels stations from the On Now row on the Fire TV Home screen. To access the channel guide, from the On Now row, press the menu button and select Channel Guide.
Note: Amazon Fire TV devices do not display over-the-air broadcast stations. However, Amazon Fire TV Edition TVs can display TV stations picked up through an antenna. Visit Watch Live TV on Your Fire TV Edition TV for more information.
