Busy as a Bee in Rural Texas

How I got my start.
In my 13 year old entrepreneur mind, anything and everything was a business opportunity. When someone mentioned a youth scholarship program that taught beekeeping, I was on board. Much to my surprise, I immediately fell in love with beekeeping, and the rest is history.

What makes our products unique.
We are one of the few companies that still produce, package, and sell our own products! From the beehive, to the bottle, to each customer, we do it all. We make sure our bees are properly and humanely cared for, and that each jar sold is the highest possible quality.

Why we love what we do.
Bees are absolutely fascinating. Not only is every day an incredible glimpse into their unique and tireless world, but as beekeepers we also get to produce one of the most natural & wholesome foods on the planet. And because we do it all from the bee to the bottle, and leave our honey raw, you can taste the difference!

Slam Dunk Gifts for Sports Fans

How I got my start.
I came up with the idea for The mug with a hoop!® in art class when I was 8 years old. Other kids started copying me so I knew it was a good idea. My parents helped me pitch my idea at a product innovation contest at Fenway Park and I won the community vote setting our family business in motion.

What makes my products unique.
I created a new category of patented mugs that make eating and drinking fun. No one else ever thought to put a hoop or a goalpost on a mug for playing sports with your food. Also, I happen to have dyslexia and we donate to dyslexia-related causes.

Why I love what we do.
I love that we get to work together as a family bringing us closer together and making a difference. My mugs bring people joy while at the same time inspiring others. We are proud to be able to raise awareness and support for the 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. who think and learn differently.

Simple Babywearing for Mom and Dad

How we got our start.
We fell in love with babywearing while visiting family in Burkina Faso. Once home, we found that many parents feel intimidated to babywear themselves. So we created a new solution that is easy to use by anyone, anywhere.

What makes our products unique.
Lalabu is reinventing babywearing with innovative, simple solutions for all parents. The Soothe Shirt and Dad Shirt are the easiest way to hold your newborn. The easier it is to hold your baby, the more you can enjoy being together.

Why we love what we do.
We’re changing the world, one family at a time. Babywearing increases the parent-child bond and puts babies in a safe environment that reduces crying, increases rest, and helps children develop. We also love giving 2% of every sale to help families.

New Twist on an Old Classic

How we got our start.
When Chris and Will Haughey started Tegu, they asked: “Could we create a for-profit company that would foster a positive social impact in Honduras through its business” That was where it all began, and today, we’ve established our fully independent toy factory outside Tegucigalpa.

What makes our products unique.
We like to say it’s a new twist on an old classic. We’ve carefully hidden magnets inside traditional wooden building blocks all while creating a visually beautiful toy—one that would fit well in your playroom, coffee table, or office desk.

Why we love what we do.
Honduras is the 3rd poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and continues to have one of the highest unemployment rates. We are in Honduras to change this story, and we believe the power of job creation and awakening the joy of service will one day allow us to be the ‘employer of choice’ in the country and region.

Designed and handcrafted in their Seattle shop

How we got our start.
Manzanita Kids started with our first child, Thomas. Welcoming a baby reveals an entirely new set of responsibilities as a family unit. For us, it was an opportunity. Adrienne and I had backgrounds in art, teaching and architecture we found our interests married perfectly with handmade wood toys.

What makes our products unique.
We are proud to offer toys that we design and make from our Seattle shop. Adrienne is a veteran school teacher and we aim to hit developmental milestones to foster creativity and open-ended play. David sources the wood locally and makes the toys. We are making and shipping directly to our customers.

Why we love what we do.
Let us count the ways! First, this is a creative outlet for us. We love being able to design and make these toys, knowing that they will be used and loved for generations.
