My daughter is 9 months, she is about 20 lbs. we bought the size for 12 months . It fits her snuggly. So you may need to go bigger than 12 months.

I purchased mine for a one year old and the pajamas were the correct size. If you decide to purchase the larger size it is okay because the child will grow. I personally love Carter's clothing. You would be purchasing a quality product.

I’d suggest the bigger size i got my daughter the 2T when she was 13 months and it fit her exact. Shes 18 months now and its too small.
