About Terry Spear
USA TODAY bestselling, and award-winning author and creator of award-winning teddy bears who have found homes all over the world including Australia, Switzerland, China, and Russia, and a retired officer of the US Army Reserves, I love to plant trees and flowers and if I could, I'd turn all the deserts green. Time travels are my favorite read, although I love to read most anything, and the Bourne series, Romancing the Stone, Sixth Sense, Legend, The Princess Bride, Stardust, Inkheart, LOTR, and tons of other movies are my favorites.
I love to research, to make urban fantasy worlds real, to bring a little of the paranormal into our world. Even in "Winning the Highlander's Heart" the heroine feels she is cursed and she has second sight. But I try to do it in a way that feels real, and not fantasized. :)

Blog postYou thought you had the bath to yourself.
Been busy this morning trimming up trees. Back to work on the story. I FINALLY made my tea. I’ve tried for 2 hours–getting distracted, water grows cold, reheat water.
I finally made myself stay in the kitchen, empty the dishwasher, and voila, I have my thermos of hot tea.
Have a super fine day!

I’ve been working all morning on trimming back crepe myrtles. I don’t top them, but I trim off the lower branches to form a nice tree. The peeling bark on crepe myrtles make the trunks just as beautiful as the foliage and flowers. So one is blooming! It’s a red, but its flowers came out pink this year. lol
And I have two beautiful volunteers are realize are weeping crepe myrtles. I love them, but never bought any. I waYesterday Read more -
Blog postI love storm clouds so take pictures whenever I see them. Yes, we did get rained on when we were out and about. One of my favorite signs–I have a picture somewhere–is: “Don’t Feed the Alligators.” And it’s no joke.
Hope you all have a great day! I’m off to get my writing jump started. I’m at the halfway point on Highland Wolf, yay!

Blog postOriginal photo taken in Savannah, Georgia when I was there for a readers’ conference.
I was out weeding like crazy. I could weed every day for hours and never get ahead of them for long, I’m sure. Very hot and muggy so had to do it first thing.
Sun’s coming out which will make it worse!
So it’s back to the snow in the Highland book. That should cool me off. I should reach the halfway point today. Yay!
Have a fun day!!

Blog postI captured a few more shots than I originally thought, yay! I was rushed out of there–kids and grandkids weren’t as fascinated as me. lol
Little one is here. We took our walk early because it was only 68 degrees, yay! It’s supposed to be 93 so very hot. We saw a great blue heron and a great white heron, but I didn’t have my zoom lens, just my phone and it doesn’t take good pictures.

I’ve done some weeding. I could do a ton more, but I want to write. I caught the rat that was eating my tomatoes and chewed a hole through the fence. But of course there are tons more. I heard one in the wall yesterday afternoon, scratching like it was as big as my 15 lb dogs. I thought it was them! Until I saw them watching me, waiting for me to get rid of the rat. ugh. Made fancy chicks cupcakes with little one, had our walk, played on the splashpad, and read books, did some workbooks, took pictures–we looked up little kid model poses first–and generally had fun! I even managed to get a 1,000 words done on Lachlan’s story.
Now, I’m only 5,000 words behind from having to work on Christmas Wolf Surprise, but that’s okay. I’m hoping to make it up in a few days. I also1 week ago Read more -
