5.0 out of 5 stars Most complete Slayer album in terms of composition
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 29, 2018
This is the most "commercial" Slayer album from the classic lineup mixing fast paced songs like the ones found in their essential album Reign in Blood (War Ensemble, Hallowed Point, Born Of Fire) and slow ones like Expendable Youth, Seasons in The Abyss, Blood Red and one of my favorites (Dead Skin Mask, inspired in the serial killer Ed Gein), which have some similarities with the amazing South of Heaven.
This is a good album for someone who have not heard the band who was in the 80 and 90 the greatest extreme metal band ever existed - the absence of Hanneman is a blow Slayer has never recovered, no wonder why did the announce their retirement, something Metallica should have done many years ago.
