I am a 44 year old woman and my 47 year old husband, trying to find something to entertain me while recovering from a minor operation found this show looking for ducks (which I collect.)

I have no kids nor am I around them often but I watch this all the time. I put it on when I have trouble sleeping as its funny enough to keep my attention looking for details (Moon has a crush on Venus. In the sleepover episode it alludes to his reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.)

It also has an impressive voice cast. Scarf lady is Mrs Padmore from Downtown abbey and thr narrator is someone on Game of Thrones. I don't watch it because I'm busy watching Sarah and Duck. The guy who voices Bag, Cake, and Leftover wool is also amazing and I apologize I don't know names but I am sure they are easily found.

It's beyond adorable and just so well written it almost makes me wish I had children to force them to watch it or at least pretend I didn't buy it for myself. But they'd probably want my attention and take away my S&D viewing time.

Please next season hurry up!! If I'm noticing details like moon's book in a half second of an episode -- I've watched it too many times.

Great Show but Playback Issues
Verified purchase
This is a phenomenal kid's show. Our son (and our family) has watched the entire series to the point of memorization and we still find it charming and entertaining.

My poor rating is for the technical quality of the product not the quality of the show. We've just recently purchased the series after it was removed from Netflix. While its nice to now have the stories individualized (several stories were grouped as single episodes on Netflix) the playback speed has changed. At least compared to the Netflix stream, the episodes on Amazon are sped up causing an uneasiness with our entire family because of the rushed pacing and pitch shifted audio. This is most noticeable between the opening titles and credits that play back at different speeds and are just slightly out of tune from one another. Originally (on Netflix) they were different in arrangement only, not speed or key.

Edit 12/8/18: The sound/speed issue seems to be fixed. Thanks, Amazon! This show deserves 10 stars.

Thank you so much for making this available in the US. My 3 year old son has is high functioning but on autism spectrum and this show has broken down so many barriers of language for him. You will never know how grateful I am for this show. With happy tears and a full heart, thank you so very much. I bought every season.

A good CALM show for kids... ages 2-5+

We bumped into this show on Netflix...
Since they don't have it anymore I am buying it here on Amazon.
This show will never grow old.
The packing is screwy... 1 has the most... 2, 3, 4, and 5 add on the 2nd year.
6, 7, and however many more follow, are the 3rd and last year.
7 ain't as good... but we've been waiting 2 years in the states to see 6+...
I'm not going to complain much.
It is still Sarah and Duck and my kid STILL wants to see it!
We've been watching 3 years now.
He thinks about it... tells me what show he wants... and I start us there, and let them play.
Because it is calm... it is a good before bedtime show.

Simple, adorable children's show that isn't obnoxious for parents to watch
Verified purchase
My 4 y/o daughter has been watching Sarah & Duck since she was just under 2.
I love that this is a kids show that isn't overtly "educational" honestly.
No children yelling at me from the screen to say what colour or shape whatever object is or to solve clues.
It's cute, funny & isn't toture for me to sit & watch with my children.
Sarah & Duck have simple, whimsical adventures.
I feel like this helps encourage kids to use their imagination & be willing to problem solve just like Sarah does each episode.

We love Sarah & Duck! And by we I mean not only my kids but also us parents! Sarah is so calm and polite and has a fun, curious personality. She is one of the best tv-character influences ever. Duck is just adorable and funny and they are great together! All of the other characters are so fun, I can't even do them justice trying to describe them here.
It's relaxing to watch and in my opinion, just as entertaining for grown-ups too!

Better than Caillou
Verified purchase
I watch about 5hours of kids tv/movies a day. Much more than my kids actually do because they typically only hear it in the background as they are playing. Sarah & Duck is the best show out there, hands down. When a show is over, my son asks me if Sarah & Duck is coming on. If it is, he'll sit down on my lap and watch it. He's started saying mmm hhmmm, just like Sarah. Each episode a perfect length for a little one's attention span. Additionally it's a breath of fresh air to sit down and watch something that does not get annoying, like for example Caillou. Sarah communicates with the narrarator, her duck, and other characters in the show in a polite manner. She does not wine around and throw tantrums, or get jealous and not share, like a certain bald Canadian 4 year old who is way over hyped.

This is a very nice and well thought out children's show without all the yelling and noise you find in most other shows 'meant' for children. My 2 year old loves it and even though the show doesn't have an educational basis it still manages to provide education of a sort. The scenarios that Sarah and Duck find themselves in are normal everyday ones but just different enough that my child is getting exposed to things she otherwise wouldn't (sea cows!).

Even as an adult I the show endearing and entertaining. I highly recommend it.
