First I want to address the reviews that say, "Waste of money." "I didn't like it." That's not really a review and should be ignored. When will people ever learn that one has to detail why or why not they liked or disliked something for their review to actually contribute to the persuasion of would-be buyers?

Johnny Depp as per usual did an excellent job playing his character. I found the dialogue to be humorous when unexpected, which made me laugh out loud. it is, however, a very sad movie considering the premise. I feel the ending could have been a bit stronger.

This movie was fantastic. I wish I could have seen it on the big screen but I’m grateful it finally got released. I’ve been waiting for it to come out. Critics really did this film a huge disservice by bashing it, even during filming. It really is worth a watch. You’ll love it. Amazing cast and great acting.

I rented it because it started Johnny Depp. It seemed like the actors including Johnny were reading this script for the first time there was no personality no feeling or anything else in it. It’s criminal to charge $6.99 for this movie that free would be considered over paying.

Mr. Depp is mysterious and alluring, with masterful delivery of lines, but the story is weak. Faced with a terminal diagnosis, he reevaluates a satisfying /often dissatisfying life. He immediately gets transformed by diagnosis into a kinder, truthful, & more generous spirit.
He no longer fears professional demotion, begins living as he wanted but didn't. He accuses college superiors of unkindnesses & hypocrisies. HIs lines are absurdist, dry with well-written dialog. Film's problem is the story arc writing. It is a "small" film, despite concerning issues of morality compromise, &death. Overall a 3.5.
Mr. Depp is mesmerizing; his partnership with his wife rings untrue.
