It just blows my mind that Miss Jarvis completely NAILED the girl in this situation so naturally. She is absolutely wonderful and talented. I am very eager to see what she does next. Fassbender and Treadaway don't do awful movies; I hope she is recognized and has a bright future.
The movie was incredibly sad in my opinion. Sure, it's definitely very real and portrays very real--and sad, nearly pathetic in this day and age--circumstances. Everyone was at fault in this one, maybe sans the Treadaway character. Even in his kindness regarding the horse...it was still terribly sad all around.
I feel that the horse symbolized hope and freedom to Mia.
While the situations in the movie are sad and pitiful to a point of exasperation, this movie was very well done for its type. Again, the acting was just incredible, esp from Jarvis. Blown away.
