About Eleanor Cawood Jones
Eleanor Cawood Jones began her writing career in elementary school, using a #2 pencil to craft crime stories starring her stuffed animals. While attending Virginia Tech, she got her first paid writing job as a reporter with the Kingsport Times-News in Kingsport, Tenn., and never looked back. Her work appears in several mystery anthologies as well as two solo books, and she won a 2021 Derringer Award for "The Great Bedbug Incident and the Invitation of Doom" in Chesapeake Crimes: Invitation to Murder.
Eleanor lives in Northern Virginia and is a recovered marketing director who now works at an airport, where she can stare out the window while making up more stories. She's an avid reader, people watcher, world traveler, and remodeling show addict who spends her spare time telling people how to pronounce Cawood (Kay'-wood) and making up long and elaborate story titles.

Praise for Murder on the Beach, A Destination Murders Book 1
"Each story features great characters and a story that kept me engaged the entire way through. All these stories can be read as stand-alones whether they are part of a series or not. That's a good thing since I was only familiar with the characters in one of the stories before I picked up this book. And the two authors I hadn't read before? I definitely need to check them out in the future.
This is the first in a series of Destination Mysteries short story collections. Based on this book, I'm already packing my bags for the next vacation."--Carstairs Considers
"All of these stories, no matter where they are set, dead body or no, provide two wonderful things: a great location, and an array of characters who would be great friends or who may remind you (and cause you to appreciate more) friends and family you already have. That's certainly the gift to readers on the part of the cozy mystery. Do yourself a favor and spend your lunch break at the beach."--Aunt Agatha's Mysteries
"I'm not a short story or anthology reader, but I did enjoy MURDER ON THE BEACH...This light and fresh, fast-paced cozy whodunit kept me entertained from the first story to the last. Bravo authors."--Dru's Book Musing
"Entertaining short stories about vacation mishaps, murder and mayhem. Perfect for a summer beach read. Very enjoyable collection of stories."--Christine Gentes, Book Reviewer and Mystery Critic

In a world filled with menace, dare to paint on a grin.
The world is full of images of scary clowns: packs of grinning figures with knives plaguing towns; pom-pom clad serial killers; loners who like children in the wrong way.
But clowns can be a force for good: it takes a kind heart to put other people’s joy first; keeping children entertained is honest work; what better disguise than one that makes the villains laugh?
What if, rather than being childhood-spoiling serial killers, clowns were the victims or heroes of the story?
When all the children at a party are poisoned, an entertainer’s profession and past both make him a prime suspect.
An anti-corporate prankster discovers his guru might be just as callous as the capitalist world-view he claims to reject.
A clown attempts to redeem the image of his profession by saving a group of teenagers from a serial killer.
And twelve more stories of clowns facing humanity’s baser natures.

5 stars *****
The 18 authors of the stories in Murder by the Glass: Cocktail Mysteries were each asked to contribute a tale that contained, a glass, a murder, and a mystery. They produced a charming anthology that has something for everyone; each story with a different flavor much like the drinks in your favorite cocktail bar. Unlike the drinks at your favorite bar, feel free to consume as many of these delightful stories at a sitting as you wish. However, you may find yourself feeling bad the next day when you realize that there are no more to be had.
Thomas A. Burns, Jr. – Author of the Natalie McMasters Mysteries
"He’s Making a List" Marcie loves everything about Christmas, and she’s planning a very special holiday gift for her husband Kelly, the man of her dreams. However, her laptop computer reveals he may not be the man she thought he was, and that perhaps a much different gift is in order.
"Checking It Twice" Everyone tells Roger he’s handled divorce better than anyone they know. And that’s true—up to a point. This Christmas he’s busy keeping holiday traditions alive for his three young daughters, and things are looking up. Or are they?
"Gonna Find Out" It’s Christmas Day at York Town Races and Games casino in the mountains of West Virginia, and almost everyone at the blackjack tables is one of the regulars. But cards aren’t the only things in play as the regulars find themselves dealing with a case of boorish holiday behavior by one of their own.
"Who’s Naughty or Nice" Three things are certain in this small town: Death, taxes, and the fact that Mildred Puckett will most definitely win the holiday bake-off competition and sale—again. This year, though, Mildred may have bitten off a bit more than she can chew.
