Interesting inside view of a winner
It is difficult to understand why anyone would allow cameras into their own homes. But when you realize that EVERYTHING in Ramos house is labeled as SR or SR4 (Sergio Ramos) then it is clear. His narcissism is evident to anyone with five minutest to spare. Everything is about him, and everyone around him must be devoted to him. The most remarkable example is Pilar, presented as "his woman" (su mujer). She has been with him 7 years, had 3 boys with him, but... only "his woman"
This most self-centered player owes his success not only to his talent, but to his narcissism, the only why he has reached such heights, at the top of the football pyramid. You have to have talent to succeed anywhere, but to reach the level Ramos has achieved you have to believe 100% in your abilities and push harder than anyone, even your own brother, "there are no brothers in football" (no hay hermanos en el futbol.)
It is interesting that not even one unpaid friend shows up. Perhaps they dont want cameras in their faces, but it is likely that Ramos, at least as shown, will not suffer... lack of pageantry.
I am not surprised no one around warned him that this series is not a good idea. The sycophantic court around him just lives for his every whim. At least in the video no one from his entourage seems to advice him contrary to his wishes. It is interesting that a guy that labels his car seats with the all present SR4, doesnt show any staff around. Not even the driver is shown. No nannies? no cleaning staff? no secretaries? Perhaps they would take the focus off Ramos.
He is past his prime now, and this series catches him looking down his career slope. There is talk about retirement, but this player will never retire on his own volition. While his leadership in the field is very important, his legs cant cash the checks his ego is writing.
Still, as this series presents, Ramos will die at the saddle.
If you have selfish kids, and you want them to reach the top, this is a master class for them.
If you hate Real Madrid and Ramos, you will despise him more...
If you love Real Madrid, well, it will be interesting what you think of the gaudy labeling all over the house, horse farm, cars...
Hala MADRID!

Nice polished portrait of a dirty player
Hooo what a great production can do.
Great skill player for sure, one of the best defenders in the world...true.
But he learn to play dirty and fake fouls like no other.
I love football but I cannot stand fake play and dirty tricks, well is a master of it.
Funny thing is that I saw him doing the most horrible fouls and false plays against the Team that I dislike the most: Juventus.
For what I'm concerned he should play for Juventus himself, perfect attitude, harassing and influencing referees just because of the jersey he wear.
Strong and dirty a perfect Trump player.
Send him to the white house as secretary of defense!
Not in the soccer all of fame thanks
Move on....

Exactly what was expected
It was pretty much what I thought it would be. I’m glad I’m not the only person who thought the SR 4 everywhere was a bit creepy but he’s always come across a little self absorbed. It’s not bad but on the other hand it’s not great either, it’s exactly what one would expect. It’s an athlete giving you a glimpse into his home life and they mix it up With some game highlights. Some of it did seem a bit scripted but that’s typical for reality TV. You could write the same documentary about most athletes at that level, they’ve all sacrificed much to get where they are. And they love their families but then again we all do. I guess Uneventful and nothing to write home about, but you won’t regret watching it either.

Capitan?

I enjoyed this to learn about Sergio, Good documentary A+++
First of all, not sure what all the hate is about for this guy from other reviewers. He's a sportsman, and he has to be very focused in the sport, keep his mind/body/spirit positive -- you see this guy likes to win. You are getting an inside look at him. I think quite frankly his work was overshadowed by CR7, so now he's opening up more to the public.

I love he cares about his family, his kids, he seems to have good values and relationship with others. I really respected him more after watching this documentary, I didn't know much about him, but I loved watching Real Madrid when they had CR7. To watch what happened after was very interesting. The team had to step it up.

Well worth watching even if not Ramos fan
Sure, what everyone else says is true, still to get a peek at what makes one of the best soccer players in the world tick, you gotta watch this. You watched him play all these years, so do not be surprised that he has confidence. Yeah, he is a master of the dark arts, and you do not get any insight into where that comes from, but you do see how he is able to deal with it - self belief. I like the last episode, the three losses two to barca and one to Ajax, you see how the player reconciles losing, bit superficial, but still, for all to see. Flash of the smiling face of Zidane to close is priceless. Highly recommended. Watch in Spanish if you can.

Great series
Love how you are brought into his life and see the man and family ties behind the myth.
I never really knew much about Sergio, because Ronaldo always over-shadowed Real Madrid.
I feel it is an honest look into Sergio's life and what it takes to be at the top of your game.
