I think the book was great. It had everything you look for in a good novel romance, action, getting the bad guys, drama, caring, understanding. The way Eve Dallas puts all she's got and her husband Roarke, friends, co-workers to solve a homicide. The ways she understands and can put herself in the position of the victims. Overall I can say this novel was wonderful and exciting, but all the novels I've read in the series are great. Jd Robb is a wonderful author.

I have read all of this series and everything else Ms Robert's has written. It is so disturbing how vast the issue of human trafficking has become. Ms. Roberts did a wonderful job of shining a light on this horrendous issue, and tied it in nicely with what Eve has experienced in her life. I really likes how even though this obviously hit home with her past, we can see how she is truly moving beyond her beginnings and becoming not only a strong force of nature but a emotionally stable one as well. Great book! I even have gotten my mother reading this series now ans she's 80 😀

I had a wonderful visit with my old friends, even though I cried. Of course, there were lots of laughs and intents moments to remind us why we loved this series so much. While there are always changing in the wonderfully dynamic series, in feel, it could have fallen anywhere in the series.

The story is fantastic & brutal in the brilliance of JD Robb’s usual style when it comes to the horrors one person can inflict on another. This one hit all the marks & you could FEEL Eve’s conflict with this case & her past! It was completely riveting with fascinating & complex new characters meshing & intermingling with those whom I’ve come to know & love over the years. I loved every page & felt like I couldn’t read fast enough for those who SOOO deserved it, to get justice in one form or another!!

I started reading this series 27 years ago. Jeeze where did time go. Ive waited months in between each book, but it has always been worth it. I started at age 23..now i am 50, i have one son, marriage, then divorce, new man, new country that i now call home; later..I still love this series. Since i lived in my home country until 9 y ago, i read all the books up till then in Norwegian. Moved to the uk, decided to start buying English version. I ended up buying the whole series again, kindle version..but this tomm all in English. The original book i had in paperback are in boxes in my mother’s attic back in norway 😆
Ok, im rambling..but i cant say enough good about this. My screen and game character name in countless games is Shebody for example 😝😍 And have been for as long as computer games became normal. They are my go-to books to re-read. Read them all many times. My dram is to at some point get them all in English paperback as well as my kindle version.

The story remains interesting, with all the usual suspects, or should that be cast of characters.
Importantly the author did not avoid the grey areas
Which I think were important nor the reality of the outcomes.

Do read this book, JD Robb is an excellent writer, I have all her books. Enjoy.

Wow!! This was a terrific story. Well written and i couldn't put it down. Eve and Roarke's relationship is always entertaining. The relationships between Mavis, Bella, and Peabody are super. You get to see the tough Mavis. The story was hard hitting and emotional. I can't wait to read the next one in this series. Well done J D / Nora a truly exceptional piece of work.

JD Robb/Nora Roberts is one of my favourite authors. A good story teller, suspense and romance thrown in at the right time. In Death series has around 50 odd books in the series. They can be read as one offs but if you really get into them I would suggest you start at the beginning with Naked in Death. The main character Eve Dallas and eventual husband Roake are great and each book fills their character in a little more. In my opinion all the books in this series are worth a read, some are better than others but the only way for you to find out is to give them a try.

The continued storylines of the original characters is always great to follow to see how they evolve, along with the introduction of new ones that you can imagine reappearing in future books.
Waiting impatiently for the next instalment of the series......
